UCI Health in California is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across units. You will take vital signs, assist with hygiene, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while supporting nursing staff.

The role requires basic medical terminology knowledge, ability to work at both Orange and Irvine locations, and current BLS certification. Strong communication and reliability are essential, including weekend and holiday coverage.

Formación

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must float between the Orange and Irvine locations as needed.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Must be Certified Nurses Assistant, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or enrolled in accredited nursing prog. with completion of at least 1 clinical semester.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic way.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (must be issued by the AHA).
• Approved workplace violence responder training program within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Take and record vital signs.

• Operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks.
• Assist with other related duties as assigned.
