UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support professional nursing staff by taking vital signs, assisting patients with hygiene and elimination, and maintaining a safe patient environment across Orange and Irvine campuses. The role involves stocking supplies, operating hospital equipment, and performing routine clerical tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate will have basic medical terminology knowledge, strong English skills, and a CNA or equivalent certification with current BLS.

Qualificações

• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent required; licensing/certification preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in a therapeutic manner.
• Demonstrated patient care experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire (issued by the American Heart Association).
• Approved workplace violence responder training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stock unit supplies and operate hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with other related duties as assigned.
