Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across Orange and Irvine campuses. Primary duties include taking vital signs, assisting with hygiene, and maintaining a clean, safe unit environment.

You will also help stock supplies, operate hospital equipment as directed, and handle routine clerical tasks. The role requires basic medical terminology knowledge, English fluency, and willingness to float between sites.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to read, write, and understand basic medical terminology.
• Willingness to float between UCI Health Orange and Irvine locations as needed.
• BLS certification required upon hire (American Heart Association).
• Compliance with safety, privacy and workplace policies.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Assist patients with hygiene and elimination.
• Maintain a clean and safe unit environment.
• Assist with stocking unit supplies and operating hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and other duties as assigned.

Skills

Education
