Select Medical’s Gulfport facility is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for day shifts in Gulfport, MS. This PRN/Per Diem position offers 12-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with a starting pay of $18.65 per hour.

You will join a team dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care in a critical illness recovery setting. The role involves direct patient care, rounds, mobility assistance, and maintaining clean equipment and rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience.
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Bath patients using basin-less products, provide oral hygiene, and assist with feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist with moving patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other equipment.
• Keep patient rooms neat and orderly.
• Maintain stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)


• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)


• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
