Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient bathing using basin-less bath products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Conduct hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Assist in transporting patients to treatment areas and transfer between stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Restock and maintain unit supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
