Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem Day shifts. You will assist with bathing, feeding and daily patient care, supporting the nursing team in a high-quality post-ICU recovery setting.

Schedule:

PRN/Per Diem Day Shift, 12-hour shifts

Compensation:

$24.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for weekends

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centres when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
