Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Memphi East is a critical illness recovery hospital focused on inpatient post-ICU care in Memphis, TN. Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care, assist with bathing, meals, hygiene, and mobility while supporting hourly rounds to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The position is full-time night shift (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.) with a pay range of $17.50 to $21.33 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities including bathing with basin-free methods, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient conditions and safety.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers; assist with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs) and keep patient rooms tidy.
• Assist with stock levels and supply organization; perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years)

BLS certification within 90 days of hire

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
