Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Memphis, TN is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate patient care in a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. full-time day shift inside Methodist University.

The role includes bathing, oral hygiene, mobility support, and maintaining cleanliness of rooms and equipment. The position offers extensive orientation, 100% company-paid RN scholarship, tuition reimbursement, a clinical ladder, strong benefits, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less methods, oral hygiene, and care of hair.
• Assist with oral feeding and general patient care.
• Participate in hourly rounds and transport patients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment, bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; monitor stock levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Compensation: $17.50 to $21.33 per hour

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
