Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate patient care on the day shift at our Memphis, TN location. You will assist with bathing, hygiene and mobility, participate in rounds, and help maintain clean rooms and equipment while supporting a team dedicated to high-quality post-ICU recovery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient comfort.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfer equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and patient rooms.
• Keep unit stock levels and report supply needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Nursing Assistant (NA)

Location: Memphis, TN (located inside of Methodist University)

Schedule: Full-Time Days - 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.Compensation: $17.50 to $21.33 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
