Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to inpatient post-ICU care for chronically ill patients. Nursing Assistants play a central role in compassionate, high-quality care during vulnerable moments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing for patients using standard care approaches (basin-less methods when applicable).
• Assist with oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care as part of personal care.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist in moving patients in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
