Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital - Erie is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a full-time night shift (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or NA certification or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assistant duties: bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist in moving patients on stretchers or wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment like bedpans and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full-Time Nights - 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.Compensation: $18.05 to $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
