Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Rochelle Park, NJ is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). The role supports patient bathing, feeding, hygiene, and mobility, with hourly rounds and transport assistance.

Compensation ranges from $21 to $25.59 per hour based on experience, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus. We offer orientation, RN scholarship, tuition reimbursement, clinical ladder, comprehensive benefits, PTO and a broad national team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in patient bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care for patients.
• Perform hourly rounds and assist transport of patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patients' rooms clean and stocked with supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
