Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Rochelle Park is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate patient care during full-time night shifts. Work includes bathing, oral hygiene, rounds, transport assistance, and maintaining clean patient rooms.

The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $21–$25.59, a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Evening and weekend coverage is required, and BLS is required within 90 days of hire; hospital experience or CNA certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience or CNA certification or related field (e.g. medical assistant, RN student).

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
