Job summary

Select Medical’s Nursing Assistant team in Rochelle Park, NJ is seeking a dedicated NA for PRN/per diem, 12-hour shifts with day and night options. Location: 96 Parkway, Rochelle Park, NJ 07662. Compensation is $24.00 per hour plus a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related field.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks including bathing and oral hygiene.
• Assist with hourly rounds and patient transport.
• Move patients to treatment centers and assist with wheelchair/ stretcher transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment.
• Keep unit stock levels of supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
