Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/per diem shifts. You will provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living, bath patients, and support clinical staff in a high-acuity setting.

This position offers a $22.00 per hour wage, a $1,500 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive orientation program. Part-time/Per Diem status includes eligibility for 401(k) after 1,000 hours and access to employee assistance programs to support you and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification as Nursing Assistant or related field preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less products and provide oral hygiene.
• Assist with feeding and grooming of patients.
• Perform hourly rounds and transport patients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms, equipment and instruments.
• Support staff and participate in required duties.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
