Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Camp Hill is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our night shift team (7p–7a). The role supports post-ICU patients with compassionate daily care, including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance. A strong orientation program and opportunities for RN scholarships, tuition reimbursement, and continuing education are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years of relevant work experience acceptable.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks: bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist movers of patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; maintain stock levels as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
