Job summary

Select Medical's San Diego facility is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate patient care during evening shifts. The role emphasizes bathing, mobility support, hygiene, and assisting treatment teams in a high-acuity environment.

The schedule is 7 pm–7 am, 3 days per week with every other weekend. Compensation ranges from $23 to $28.05 per hour, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, with benefits for full-time team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital CNA experience or CNA certification or related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients and assisting with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients and assist with moving patients in stretchers and wheelchairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
