Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time night shifts. Compensation ranges from $19.70 to $24.00 per hour, plus night/weekend differentials; a $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

The role supports post-ICU care with extensive orientation and growth opportunities. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of relevant experience) and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Perform patient bathing using basin-less methods and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Conduct hourly rounds and assist with transporting patients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and stocked; manage unit supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
