Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Atlantic City, NJ seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time night shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with rotating weekends. Expect a compensation range of $18.87–$23.00 per hour, based on experience, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus and night/weekend differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3+ years of relevant work experience considered.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related field (CNA cert or student RN) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CNA duties including bathing, oral care, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients and assist with movement in treatment areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and patient rooms.
• Keep unit stocked and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
