Job summary

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in Chester, NJ seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) PRN / Per Diem for night shifts. Per Diem schedule; 7AM-7:30PM Days, includes rotations. Compensation: $23.50/hour plus shift differential.

Inpatient rehab focused on brain injury, spinal cord injury, and various neurological conditions. The role supports patient care through vital signs, daily activities, feeding, mobility, documentation, and transportation, with opportunities for advancement and a company

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience or CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming).
• Deliver meals and snacks; document oral intake and supplements.
• Turn and position immobile patients; assist with mobility.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services to promote well-being.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and other areas.

Location: 201 Pleasant Hill Rd, Chester NJ (MORRIS COUNTY)

Schedule: Per Diem (PRN) 7AM-7:30PM, Days (Includes Weekday & Weekend Shifts)

Compensation: $23.50/Hour + Shift Differential

• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves, and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in the mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Requirements

• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred

Per Diem Requirement: Four (4) shifts per 6-week schedule. One Saturday or Sunday, one Winter/Summer holiday
