Select Specialty Hospital Dallas Downtown - DeSoto is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team in DeSoto, TX. The role supports post-ICU patients with bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, and daily living activities while upholding safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or 3+ years related work experience).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Bathing patients with basin-less methods and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient wellbeing.
• Transport patients and assist with movement to treatment areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms, beds, equipment and stock.
• Assist with care tasks and other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $18.00-24.24 per hour (based on years of experience)

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
