Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Dallas Downtown (DeSoto) is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts in DeSoto, TX. You will perform patient care tasks and support a critical illness recovery unit.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, hospital NA experience and BLS within 90 days; CNA certification preferred. Competitive hourly pay at $22 and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist transporters with moving patients in stretchers/wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
