Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Ft. Worth - Plano is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) in Plano, TX. This PRN/Per Diem role features 12-hour day shifts with compensation of $22.00 per hour, and a focus on compassionate, high-quality patient care within a critical illness recovery setting.

The position emphasizes patient bathing, hygiene, and assistance with mobility, hourly rounds, and safe transport of patients. BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or related field (e.g. medical assistant).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving patients on stretchers or in wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and other instruments.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly and maintain unit stock levels as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
