Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, TN is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time, 12-hour shifts (days 7:00am–7:00pm and nights 7:00pm–7:00am). The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $17.50 to $21.33, based on experience.

You will assist patients with bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility, participate in hourly rounds, and help transport patients. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and BLS within 90 days of hire. Hospital NA experience is preferred.

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient wellbeing.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms, instruments, and equipment.
• Restock supplies and equipment per unit needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
