Select Medical's Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson in Jackson, MS seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time day shifts. You will provide essential patient care, including baths, hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance, in a post-ICU setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Perform hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Monitor stock levels of supplies and equipment.

Schedule: Full-time Day Shift, 12-Hour ShiftsCompensation: $16.00 to $19.51 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
