Select Specialty Hospital - Memphis East is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients who require extended healing. Nursing Assistants play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent care every step of the way.

Nursing Assistants are essential to support patients with daily activities, while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products; oral hygiene and feeding; care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers when needed and maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and rooms.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed; perform other duties as assigned.

$17.50 to $21.33 per hour

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)


• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
