Select Specialty Hospital - Erie is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a full-time day shift in Erie, PA. You will provide compassionate patient care and support the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care for patients.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers; assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and stocked; maintain unit stock levels as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
