Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Alle Kiski, located inside Allegheny Valley Hospital, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for full-time night shifts. The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends.

A strong orientation, RN scholarship opportunities, and ongoing professional development are provided. Responsibilities include bathing, rounds, patient transport, cleanliness, and medication/stock support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient bathing and oral care.
• Perform hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving them.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Schedule: Full Time Nights, 7-7Compensation: $17.92 - $24.12 per hour, plus competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
