Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Pittsburgh is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA/CNA) to join our night shift team (7-7). You will assist with patient care, including activities of daily living, feeding, hygiene, and mobility, while upholding a compassionate, patient-centered approach in a post‑ICU recovery setting.

This role offers hourly compensation of $18.00–$24.24 with night and weekend differentials and a $4,000 sign‑on bonus. Free parking is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers; assist transporters with move-in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin‑less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (e.g. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student).
