Select Specialty Hospital Laurel Highlands, located inside Latrobe Hospital, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA/CNA) for a 7-7, full-time day shift. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $22.88 per hour with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. This role offers extensive orientation, opportunities for education, and a clinical ladder.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient cares including bathing and oral hygiene.
• Assist with hourly rounds and transport patients as needed.
• Ensure cleanliness of instruments and patient rooms.
• Maintain stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Support the care team with routine duties and patient comfort.
• Participate in other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
