Job summary

Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN seeks a part-time Nursing Assistant for the Med Surg Float Pool. You will float across MedSurg, Telemetry, Mental Health, ED, and ICU units under RN supervision, assisting with routine patient care on 12-hour day shifts and every-other weekend.

Responsibilities include personal care, vitals, transfers, documentation, and fall prevention, with competency across multiple units to support staffing needs.

Qualifications

Successful completion of CNA program or equivalent.
Clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
Completion of Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy program.

Responsibilities

Assist in delivery of patient care under RN supervision.
Provide personal care: feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming.
Take and document vital signs and health observations.
Assist with ambulation, transfers, positioning, ROM.
Support with admission, transfer, discharge, and post-mortem care.
Observe and report health status changes to RN.
