Job summary

Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Float Pool. The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with no prior experience required.

You may float to neurology, ortho, oncology, med-surg/surgical, ICU/critical care, cardiac telemetry, and observation units. Work schedule is 0.8 FTE, overnight 8-hour shifts, and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must be currently listed on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or junior nursing student who has completed first quarter clinicals with an RN or LPN program.
• No prior experience required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks.

Position Summary:

The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers. No prior experience needed. Candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment that has a lot of variety. Units that candidate will float to include: neurology, ortho, oncology, med-surg/ surgical, ICU/critical care, cardiac telemetry, and observation.

Work Schedule:

0.8 FTE, Overnight 8-hour shifts & every other weekend

Required Qualifications:

All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.

Preferred Qualifications:

Currently validated CPR skills preferred
