Essentia Health in Duluth, MN seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg Float Pool at St Mary's Medical Center. You will deliver direct patient care under supervision, assist with hygiene, meals, transfers, and vital signs while ensuring safety and comfort on rotating 8-hour shifts.

The role requires either prior experience or eligible education, BLS or eligibility for certification within 1 month, and registration with the state nurse aide registry.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months of nursing assistant experience or equivalent training.
• Enrollment in Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days.
• Completion of a recognized nurse aide training program.
• Current registration on the state nursing assistant registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision to ensure safety and comfort.
• Perform personal hygiene assistance and support nutritional needs.
• Transfer patients safely and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Take vital signs and complete required recordkeeping.
• Report changes in patient condition promptly to the RN.
