Job summary

Methodist Hospital, part of HealthPartners, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Float Pool. You will provide direct patient care under a Registered Nurse, working across units including neurology, ortho, oncology, med-surg, ICU, and cardiac telemetry.

This 0.8 FTE overnight role requires current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry status or being an LPN student/Jr nursing student. CPR skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be current on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR an LPN student or Jr nursing student with first quarter clinicals.
• CPR skills preferred.
• Ability to float to multiple units including neurology, ortho, oncology, med-surg/surgical, ICU/critical care, cardiac telemetry, and observation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Monitor and report patient status and safety concerns to the team.
• Document care per policy and procedure.

Position Summary: The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, utilizing their skill and expertise to complement other health care providers. No prior experience needed. Candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment that has a lot of variety. Units that candidate will float to include: neurology, ortho, oncology, med-surg/ surgical, ICU/critical care, cardiac telemetry, and observation.

Work Schedule: 0.8 FTE, Overnight 8-hour shifts & every other weekend

Required Qualifications: All candidates must be current on the State of Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry OR be an LPN student or a Jr. level nursing student, which means completion of first quarter clinicals with an accredited RN or LPN program.

Preferred Qualifications: Currently validated CPR skills preferred
