Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for University Hospital in Madison, WI. This on-site role offers .90 FTE (36 hours per week) with evening/night shifts from 6:30pm to 7:00am, including weekends and 1–2 holidays per year.

You will support pre-surgical prep, patient transport, and equipment coordination to maintain high standards of patient care. Qualified candidates have Wisconsin-approved Nurse Assistant training and BLS/CPR within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aid Training Program required.
• 1 year of recent CNA experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months Required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with room/equipment preparation for surgeries.
• Coordinate preventative equipment maintenance per safety standards.
• Arrange specimen transport and testing for the Inpatient Operating Room.
• Help with patient positioning, transport, rounding, stocking, and equipment ordering.

Job Description

Work Schedule:

.90 FTE, 36 hours per week. This a Evening/Night position with (12) twelve-hour shifts, 6:30pm - 7am. Weekend shift required. 1-2 Holiday's required per year. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
