Job summary

UW Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to support Registered Nurses in the Pre/Post PACU and provide care to surgical patients. You’ll assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, mobility, and intentional rounding in a state-of-the-art facility.

100% FTE; shifts typically 5am-6pm with potential variability by department needs. Wisconsin-approved CNA program required; BLS/CPR within 3 months; 1 year of CNA experience preferred. Madison, WI.

Qualifications

• Graduate of State of Wisconsin Approved Nursing Assistant program Required
• 1 year recent experience as a Nursing Assistant Preferred
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months Required

Responsibilities

• Be a supportive partner with Registered Nurses on the Pre/Post PACU and provide care to surgical patients.
• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, patient mobility, and intentional rounding.
• Interact and engage with visitors, patients, and their family members to establish a trusting relationship to provide high quality care.

Job description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday- Friday, 8 hour shifts between the hours of 5am-6pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay:

UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.

This position may be eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE).
