Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the perioperative team. This 80% FTE position features 12-hour day shifts on weekends (Sat/Sun 6:40am-7:10pm) and an 8-hour day shift on Fridays (6:40am-3:10pm); no on-call required, but holidays may occur.

You will coordinate operating room activities, ensure safe patient care, and adhere to policies while supporting turnover between cases.

Qualifications

• 6 months of recent independent PACU, Emergency Department, or Surgical Critical Care, Surgical ICU, Operating Room, or Surgical IMC experience required.
• 3 years of recent Operating Room or PACU experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Communicate and coordinate Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
• Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient care within policies, procedures, and standards and care plan to perioperative patients regardless of complexity

Work Experience
