Autumnwood of McBain, part of CienaHealthcare, is seeking a Nursing Assistant in Training to provide supervised resident care and support licensed staff in Michigan. This role serves as a stepping stone toward STNA/CNA certification, helping with ADLs and delivering compassionate, individualized care.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from a state approved nursing assistant training program.
• Must pass a state approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, percentage of meal consumed intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and position using proper body mechanics and lift equipment as applicable.
• Respond promptly to call lights, resident needs, and changes in condition; report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity, while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and in accordance with facility procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
• Provides postmortem care.
• Make routine rounds on each assigned resident every two hours.
• Contributes to the residents’ assessment (MDS/CAA’s) and the plan of care.
• Provides nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services
