Job summary

Autumnwood of Deckerville, a Ciena Healthcare facility in Michigan, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to care for residents under supervision of licensed staff. You will assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, aid mobility, and support safety and dignity in daily care.

Responsibilities include documentation, infection control, and providing emotional support. Must have a valid CNA certification or be in a certified program with timely completion; strong communication and teamwork are

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Must be a State Tested Nursing Assistant or graduate of an approved training program with competency exam within 120 days of employment; name entered into state nurse aide registry.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinent care as applicable, oral hygiene and feeding.
• Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake/output as directed.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and lift equipment.
• Respond to call lights and report observations to licensed nursing staff.
• Support residents’ independence and dignity while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation per facility procedures.
• Follow infection control, safety, and universal precautions guidelines.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative services.
