Job summary

UNC Health's Medicine Progressive Care Unit is seeking a Nursing Assistant I (Per Diem) to join their team in Chapel Hill, NC. The role supports intermediate care patients under RN/physician supervision and requires BLS certification. Weeklong orientation and rotating Day/Night shifts including weekends are part of the schedule.

Experience as a nursing assistant is preferred; fluency in English and basic computer skills are expected. Per diem, onsite work with varying hours per week.

Qualifications

• Fluent in verbal and written English.
• Able to develop basic computer skills.
• Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and health care providers with routine examinations and procedures.
• Observe, collect, and document patient information and report changes to a nurse/physician.
• Provide direct personal care for activities of daily living and assist with ambulation.
