Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Nursing Assistant I certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Six months of nursing assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine exams/procedures and obtain equipment during emergencies.
• In psychiatric units, aid orientation, behavior plans, de-escalation, safety monitoring.
• Observe and document patient information; report changes to RN/physician.
• Assist with admission, orientation, and discharge for patients.
• Provide treatments per plan: vitals, measurements, wound care, glucose checks.
• Deliver direct personal care for ADLs: bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation.
• Perform indirect tasks: clean/stock areas, transport, and clerical support.
• Reinforce patient education and ensure understanding of instructions.
