Job summary

Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Aide to support the Rehabilitation Unit. You will assist with daily patient care, monitor vitals, and document in the EMR under RN supervision.

This full-time role requires attention to detail and compassionate patient interaction. The position includes an evening shift (2pm–10:30pm), with rotations every other weekend and about half of the holidays. A high school diploma and AHA BLS within 45 days are required, plus basic computer skills and

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education or equivalent (HSD/GED/HSED).
• Basic computer skills and ability to document patient data.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of hire.
• Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to interruptions and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and mobility.
• Document vital signs and intake/output in EMR accurately.
• Participate in admissions, transfers and discharges under supervision.
• Perform patient positioning, transfers and basic care tasks.
• Support nutritional needs and skin care under RN direction.
• Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Coordinate tests and treatments and communicate observations to the RN.
• Maintain positive patient relations and respond promptly to requests.
