Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Hummelstown, PA is hiring a Nursing Assistant for 7p-7a shifts. Compensation ranges from $19.70 to $24.00 per hour with night/weekend differentials and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

The role includes vital signs, daily personal care, meals, mobility assistance and patient transport, within an inpatient rehabilitation setting that emphasizes compassionate care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, hair care).
• Deliver meals and snacks; document oral intake for patients unable to feed themselves.
• Turn and position immobile patients safely; participate in mobility program.
• Transport patients to designated areas and treatment centers.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.*
