Job summary

Honey Grove Wellness & Rehab in Texas is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care in accordance with facility policies. You will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator to maintain high-quality resident care.

Requirements include Texas CNA licensure, at least 6 months of CNA experience or clinical CNA training, excellent English communication, and a compassionate, team-oriented approach to care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Texas CNA license.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a CNA or clinical experience in a CNA class.
• Demonstrates a sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Reads, writes and speaks English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Patience, tact and cheerful disposition; ability to handle residents at various maturity levels.
• Must be in good health with emotional stability.
• Able to relate to and work with ill, disabled and elderly residents in the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide quality care.
• Verify resident identity before care or meals and report any missing ID bands.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are clean and filled within resident reach.
• Other duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator.
