Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist in Brooklyn, NY is hiring a Nursing Assistant for the Emergency Department. This full-time night role supports RNs and Nurse Technicians, assists with patient meals, transport, and comfort, and helps maintain a safe and caring environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of hospital experience, a Nurse Assistant training program certificate or BSN enrollment, and current BLS. Excellent communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

Nursing Assistant - Emergency Department (ED) - Full-time - Nights At New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, certified nursing assistants thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Together, we serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families. Be a true partner with Registered Nurses, Nurse Technicians and more. Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport. So bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day. Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care This a full-time night position (11:45PM-7:45AM) at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, 3 weekend a month is required

Preferred Criteria

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience as a nurse’s aide in a hospital.
