Job summary

Good Samaritan Nursing Center is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for day shift with a full-time schedule in Canistota, SD. The NA delivers resident-centered care under RN supervision, assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, and basic health support.

The role requires CNA certification and a High School diploma or GED; experience in long-term care is preferred. The position may include weekend/holiday shifts, with a $2.50/hr location premium and a $10,000 sign-on bonus to eligible

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or required.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing required or in process.
• Maintains continuing education and department competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care during scheduled shift.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Record vital signs and report changes to RN/charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, grooming, bathing, and psychosocial support.
• Maintain infection control policies and documentation as required.
