The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan’s GSS SD Canistota Ctr provides resident-centered care during the day shift, assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating and mobility under the supervision of an RN.

You will record vital signs, help with daily living activities, support infection prevention policies, and collaborate with a nursing team to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents at Canistota.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• CNA certification is required or must be obtained within four months of starting.

Responsabilités

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining and mobility as per care plan.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident condition; communicate changes to RN.
• Participate in infection prevention and control practices and use of PPE.
• Assist with activities and programs to promote resident well-being.
