Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a 10-hour day shift in Canistota, SD. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with the RN to ensure quality care for residents.

The role requires CNA certification and may involve shift rotations and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. A location premium of $2.50/hr is offered, with full-time status and a 30-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with State Board of Nursing, or in process of obtaining certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care during the scheduled work period.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming and meals.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the charge nurse, and assist with transfers.
• Support infection prevention policies and assist with basic health care needs as part of the nursing team.
