Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time, day shift. The NA provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision, including bathing, grooming, mobility, vital signs, and help with meals.

The role requires infection control awareness and teamwork with the nursing staff. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification with the State Board (or within four months), and ability to obtain required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board required, or in progress within four months of date into the position.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Maintains ongoing continuing education credits and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and meals; document vital signs as needed.
• Assist residents with transfers, mobility, range of motion, and use of equipment.
• Support and participate in wellness and recreational activities; follow infection prevention and PPE rules.

Education
