Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a full-time, day shift. You will provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision, assist with daily living activities, and document vital signs, while supporting infection control and care plans.

Requirements include CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing (or in process), high school diploma or GED, and annual competency/testing. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and $2.50/hr location premium are offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing, or certification in process within four months.
• Yearly competency testing with continuing education (12 hours annually).
• Unlicensed Assistive Person registry where applicable.
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver with valid license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and documenting vital signs.
• Support infection prevention, PPE, and care plan adherence.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, meals, hydration, and recreational activities.
